Being the first in the Avatar Pro series, the X5 was designed to accommodate analog based audio connections. With an immersive 5.1 analog surround sound system powered via USB, the X5 is in no way inferior to its counterparts.
Unlike many ‘Gaming’ headphones, the X5 works with REAL analog 5.1 surround sound through 8 drivers (4 on each side). This is distinctively different from pseudo systems claiming to deliver surround sound via a ‘surround sound decoder’, which results in positional audio signal loss and replaces it with virtual surround audio content.
The X5 gives absolute control over each pair of its 8 audio driver; front, rear, center & subwoofer. Users can also tweak the audio to their desired settings with the given master volume control and a microphone-enabling switch.
